Abu Dhabi Tawteen Council (ADTC) is a government entity that was established in December 2005 to deliver upon the vision of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, Ruler of Abu Dhabi, to achieve full utilization of Emirati human capital potential in the service of Abu Dhabi’s social and economic development.

ADTC strives to enable full sustainable employment for every Emirati jobseeker looking for a career path in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The Council is also directly aligned with the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030, contributing to several policy priorities, core objectives , and areas of economic policy focus that are related to human capital development and the establishment of a knowledge based national economy. Moreover, ADTC has a particular focus on enhancing Emiratization in the private sector, especially in the key economic sectors driving the growth outlined in the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030.

To accomplish its goals, ADTC establishes institutional and strategic partnerships with various government and private entities. It has a strong focus on working with both  jobseekers and employers to ensure that every Emirati jobseeker finds a job and to ensure that job opportunities for Emiratis will be created across all functional levels and in line with the strategy and economic plan of the Abu Dhabi Government. In addition, ADTC partners with leading educational and training institutions to design and implement meaningful training programs which facilitate job placement.

Finally, ADTC is the Abu Dhabi government’s thought leader on the topic of Emiratization and the labor market. It is continuously researching and recommending policies and mechanisms to increase Emiratization, especially in the private sector, in a manner which increases the sustainability of the Emirate’s social and economic development.
